TKU Eagles finished their season at home versus the GPRC Wolves. The matinee game was rematch of last night's match that the Eagles took in straight sets. The Wolves looked to gain a win that would possibly earn them a spot in provincials.
In the first set, the Wolves again came out flying as they got out to an early lead over the Eagles. The Eagles tried to claw their way back into the set, but the early lead was to much to overcome, as the Wolves took the first set, 25-20.
In the second set, the Eagles knew they had to turn their game around if they wanted to beat a Wolves team who was ready in every facet of the game. The Eagles were able to turn tables around as they came out with an early lead. Off the back of the home crowd and their momentum, the Eagles took the set, 25-15.
The third set was more of the same for the Eagles, as they came out to an early lead. And again using their momentum, the Eagles took the set, 25-15.
In the fourth set, knowing what was at stake, the Wolves rallied as they took a slim lead over the Eagles. The Eagles, looking to close out the game, kept the game close as both teams went point for point. In the end, the Eagles were able to string a couple more points together and win the tight set and the match, 25-21.
The Eagles will now look to get ready for provincials, as they travel to Ambrose University.
