Concordia Thunder took an early lead to start off the first set against the Lakeland Rustlers. The Rustlers were able to stay composed and crawled back to take the lead from the Thunder. Second-year Hannah Peck served strong in the latter half of the first set allowing the Rustlers to stretch the lead and comfortably win the first set 25-18. In the second set, the Rustlers kept their moment from the first and took a lead in the second. The Thunder tried to close the gap matching point for point with the Rustlers, but they were unable to go on a run. Rustlers win the second set 25-20. The third set started off point for point between the Rustlers and the Thunder. Ahnika Kuse serve game allowed the Rustlers to go on a small run pushing the point spread to 3 points. It was back and forth, the Thunder were able to make a run themselves and tieing up the game at 14-14 and take back the lead the next point. Errors from the Thunder side allowed for the Rustlers to tie up the game 18-18 and retake the lead. A setters dump by number 5 Rae Sigurdson helped the Rustler moment going forward.
