Another busy crowd for the 2nd game of a weekend series against the Lakeland Rustlers. GPRC welcomed more local volleyball teams to take in the action.
The first set was an action packed battle, a battle that Lakeland won 34-32. The second set also went to Lakeland 25-22. The third set was GPRC's, as they excited the crowd with great court coverage and powerful kills to win 25-20. The fourth set was back and fourth until Lakeland pulled ahead for good, winning the game 25-18, and the match.
GPRC falls to 0-2 on the year, while Lakeland improves to 2-0.
Bailey Chartrand led GPRC with 33 assists and 9 blocks. Megan Koch added 14 kills.
Rae Sigurdson led the Rustlers with 29 assists and 5 digs.
The Wolves will return to action next weekend at home versus Kings University. The Rustlers will welcome NAIT to Lloydminster on Friday, and travel to NAIT on Saturday evening.
