Queens Seek Revenge at the Snake Pit

The first set started much like the previous night. The serve was traded up until 7 points where Red Deer went on a run to 11 opening up a lead. This prompted Coach Kim Stonehouse to call a timeout in an attempt to calm the Rattlers down. This seemed to work as they broke the serve right away, but could not turn the momentum around trading service again. The RDC Queens jumped on this momentum holding service again and winning the set 25-17
The second set saw a more even match. Both teams went back and forth scoring with neither gaining an advantage. This held true until the end of the set when Queen McKenna Barthel went on a 3 point serving run. Putting RDC in the lead for the rest of the set winning 25-20 for a 2-0 set lead.
The third set started with a service run of 5 for RDC's Miranda Dawe and an early 5-1 lead. The Rattlers battled back to a 7 all tie until RDC again took control leading 8-12. They never relinquished this lead only allowing the Rattlers back in the set very late. By this time it was already out of reach and the Queens won the third set and the game. 25-20 and 3-0
