Felicia Rodney Honoured as 2018-19 ACAC Women’s Soccer Rookie of the Year

CALGARY, AB (Oct. 25, 2018) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Felicia Rodney of the Olds College Broncos has been selected as the 2018-19 ACAC Women's Soccer Rookie of the Year Sponsored by the Alberta Soccer Association.

Rodney enjoyed a strong first season in the Broncos black and gold, finishing tied for second in the ACAC with 14 goals and earning a place on the ACAC South All-Conference team. Rodney registered three hat tricks during the season, including a four-goal performance against the Lakeland College Rustlers on Sept. 16.

"She plays the game like she has been doing it for years," said Broncos head coach Niels Slotboom. "She leaves everything out on the field each and every game, and she will do anything for the team's success."

The Calgary native and St. Francis High School graduate is studying Sports Management at Olds College. Most recently, she played club soccer for Calgary Blizzard SC in the Alberta Major Soccer League.  

This prestigious award was presented to Felicia at the 2018 ACAC Women's Soccer Championship Ceremony held on October 26 at SAIT.
