It was no surprise at the at the 2018 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women’s Soccer Championships that the host SAIT Trojans and NAIT Trojans would meet up in the gold medal match at Cohos Commons Field’s state-of-the-art synthetic turf field Sunday.
After the RDC Queens trailed 3 - 0 to the Concordia University Thunder in the quarter-final at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women's Soccer Championship in Calgary, they tried to claw their way back into the game with a second half goal but time was the enemy and the Thunder closed out 4 - 1 win.

These awards were presented at the 2018 ACAC Women's Soccer Championship Banquet on October 25th in Calgary, Alberta hosted by the SAIT Trojans.
As in the case with the 2018 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Men’s Soccer Championships, the same six schools will be represented at the 2018 Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Women’s Soccer Championships: Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder, The Kings University Eagles, Lethbridge Kodiaks, NAIT Ooks, Red Deer Kings and SAIT Trojans.
The RDC Queens Soccer team has some momentum as they look towards next weekend's playoffs. After the Medicine Hat College Rattlers struck early, the Queens responded in spades, connecting for 9 consecutive goals and earning a dominant 9 - 1 road victory in their final regular season game in ACAC Women's Soccer action.
On a beautiful day in Medicine Hat, The Red Deer Queens scored early and often handing the shorthanded, hometown Rattlers a 9-1 defeat in the Rattlers last game of the year. Victoria Dalziel opened the scoring in third minute putting Medicine Hat up 1-0.
Saturday afternoon's ACAC soccer matchup brought the Lakeland College Rustlers in to town to battle against the hometown Medicine Hat College Rattlers. The first half closed with the Rustlers up 1-0 as fifith year senior Ashley Miller capitalized to score the games opening goal.
In the second last game of the regular season, the Red Deer College Queens and Lethbridge College Kodiaks played effective defence, playing to a 0 - 0 draw in Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women's Soccer South Division action.
