Olds College Broncos Sports Information Officer Brendan Stasiewich finds opportunity with PGA Tour

It is bittersweet to announce that Olds College Broncos Sports Information Officer Brendan Stasiewich has accepted a job offer from the PGA Tour and will be departing the Broncos after one season with the program.

Stasiewich will be working out of the Mackenzie Tour-PGA TOUR Canada's Toronto office, and will be travelling with the Mackenzie Tour during the season, acting as Media Official.

"We will certainly miss Brendan after the phenomenal work he did for our Olds College Bronco teams this year.  He was a great addition to our staff," says Broncos Athletic Director Linda Henderson. "The PGA Tour position will be a fabulous opportunity for Brendan to grow, with his extensive golf background along with his outstanding writing skills."

"We look forward to watching him excel in his new surroundings!"

The Mackenzie Tour-PGA Tour Canada is a professional golf tour with 13 tournament stops throughout Canada from June to September, all sanctioned by the PGA Tour.

"Golf has always been my greatest passion; the opportunity to work, and make an impact, for a Tour with tournaments I've followed since I was a kid is a dream come true," says Stasiewich. "I'm going to try my hardest to make a positive impact on the Tour and I think through hard work I will."

"The past season with the Broncos has been amazing. Working alongside our 'small but mighty' staff taught me so many lessons I'll take with me throughout my career," says Stasiewich. "I'll continue to be the biggest Broncos cheerleader from afar!"

Stasiewich will begin work at the final Tour Qualifying stop in Courtenay, BC in early May.
