Megan LeBlanc Honoured as 2017-18 Women’s Hockey Rookie of the Year

Edmonton, March 1st, 2018 – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce that Megan LeBlanc of the NAIT Ooks Women's Hockey team, has been selected as the 2017-18 ACAC Women's Hockey Rookie of the Year sponsored by CCM Reebok.

Megan's play this season helped lead the NAIT Ooks hockey team to a 2nd place regular season finish in the ACAC.  LeBlanc, a 1st year Personal Fitness trainer student from Estevan, SK, had 3.6 GPA this season. She also finished 1st in the league rookie scoring, and seventh in league scoring with 15 points (9 goals and 6 assists).

NAIT Ooks women's hockey head coach Deanna Martin had the following to say about her student-athlete.  "Megan came in with a determined attitude.  She put in the extra work to get better, which allowed her to fit into the Ooks with ease."
