Nov. 3, 2018 – Intensity was high on the court today at Lethbridge College with the Kodiaks hosting the #1 team in the South the Olds Broncos.
The game started with an aggressive offense for both the Lethbridge Kodiaks and the Olds Broncos, with their points constantly battling one another. With a close score of 16-17, the Broncos led the way into the 2nd quarter.
Broncos were able to push past the Kodiaks with a score of 21-17 but the Kodiaks were soon to catch up and put them in their place.
By the end of the second quarter the Kodiaks began to fall behind letting the Broncos take the lead with a score of 34-30 at the end of the 2nd quarter.
Half-way through the 3rd quarter the women's teams were tied sitting at 42-42. The intensity was strong, and both teams fought hard to get an open shot on the basket.
The Kodiaks were finally able to get control of the ball and pass the score of the Broncos heading into the fourth quarter with a score of 54-49.
Broncos came in hot for the 4th quarter, showing the Kodiaks they were not ready to back down and slowly creeping ahead. It was a tight and nail biting 4th quarter getting down to the final couple of minutes not knowing who was going to take the lead and win the game.
The Broncos ultimately won the battle to the finish line, claiming an 81-73 victory of coming out of a heated game and setting the tone for the next time the teams meet.
