Rattlers Win over Thunder 63-57

CALGARY, ALTA., (MARCH 1, 2018) — The Medicine Hat College Rattlers defeated the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder 63-57 in quarter-final action Thursday evening at the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) Women's Basketball Championship at SAIT.

 

Kennedy Werre scored 17 points and added 10 rebounds while teammate Courtney Henry added 17 of her own to lead the Rattlers to victory. Sofia Lucadello responded with 19 points and seven rebounds in a losing effort for the Thunder.

 

Henry was named the Earl's Kitchen and Bar Player of the Game for the Rattlers. Lucadello was named the Thunder's Player of the Game.

 

The win sends Medicine Hat College on to one of the event's semifinal games tomorrow night at 8pm against SAIT Trojans.

 

The Thunder will move to the consolation side of the draw, and will meet NAIT at 3pm tomorrow afternoon.
