Graham and Kings down Broncos in three

Red Deer, AB – Led by outside hitter JJ Graham, the Kings downed the visiting Olds College Broncos in three sets (25-14, 25-19 and 25-17).

Graham's eight kills were matched by Broncos outside hitter Ryzen Walkingbear, who was an energetic force. 

The Kings employed two setters, Thomas Wass (22 assists) and Brett Theise (six assists), and they spread out the offence. Dillon Gauci, Ben Holmes and Mark DeWit contributed seven kills each. 

The RDC Kings recorded ten service aces with Ben Holmes contributing half. The Olds College Broncos finished with a pair.

Broncos setter Thomas Pugley accumulated 17 assists. Pugley connected with Haiden Hurtig for four kills. Braden Bates and Lukas Dragicevic had three kills each.

JJ Graham was named the Collegiate Sports Medicine Kings Player-of-the-Game. Along with his eight kills, the second-year Business Administration student added one assist and one dig. Ryzen Walkingbear received the honour for the Broncos with final statistics of eight kills and two digs, while contributing eight points for his team.

The RDC Kings (5-1) will compete against the Rattlers (1-5) in Medicine Hat on Nov. 15 and 16. The Olds College Broncos (0-6) will face the Ambrose University Lions (1-7) in a pair of matches the same weekend.
