In the Lions' final game of the season, the visiting Briercrest Clippers took down the home team after three sets. Player of the Game for Briercrest was rightside Karym Coleman, while seniors Peter Hernandez and Graeson Bergen were honoured in their last home game.
The first set saw Briercrest jump out to an early lead, bolstered by the strong serving of Bryton Codd. Ambrose fought back and tied it up, going back and forth with the visitors until Briercrest took a slight edge and won the set by two points.
The second set saw the Clippers continue to dominate on the offense, using Codd, Coleman, and middle Jordan Schnitzer to score almost at will. Lions attackers Adrian Strandberg, Graeson Bergen, and Evan Mann helped even up the score once again, while setter Ryan Andres was a force on the net. The Lions, down by one at 17-18, couldn't stop a 7-3 run that would end the set at 25-20 for the Clippers. 5th year Briercrest leftside scored the final kill of the set.
The final set played out much like the first, both teams fighting back and forth until Ambrose tied the score up at 24-24. The deciding point of the match came from a Clippers block on the attack of Brayden Nowosad out of the middle, winning 27-25 and locking Briercrest into the 4th seed heading into playoffs.
