Edmonton, Alberta (October 24, 2019) – The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) is pleased to announce Victor Majome of the Concordia University of Edmonton Thunder has been selected as the 2019-20 ACAC Men's Soccer Rookie of the Year.
Victor was key addition to the Thunder men's soccer program this offseason as he displayed exceptional talent on the soccer pitch in every game and has earned respect throughout the ACAC. The first-year midfielder managed to tally 5 goals and 3 assist for a total of 13 points in just 11 games played. Victor was ranked 3rd among points on his team.
The talented rookie has a lot of potential to be an elite player in the ACAC and Director of Athletics & Recreation, Joel Mrak, is looking forward to watching him thrive at his first ACAC Conference Championship by stating, "Victor has had an outstanding rookie season in the ACAC this year. From the first time he stepped on the pitch, he was a force and stepped up in a big way. His impact on the team this season has helped them elevate to the next level and prepare the team for a run in this championship."
Victor came to the Concordia University of Edmonton from Montreal, QC this fall and is currently enrolled in Open Studies.
This prestigious award was presented to Victor Majome at the 2019 ACAC Men's Soccer Championship Ceremony held on October 24th, 2019 at NAIT.
