Lethbridge, AB - The Kings had a strong start and after opening the scoring, the Kodiaks scored three consecutive goals to earn a 3 - 1 home win.

In the 11th minute, a header from Matthew Elphick off of a free kick from Matheus Alves beat Kodiaks' goalkeeper Kohl Wandyka.

The Kodiaks tested Kings' six-foot-eight goalkeeper, Austin Langdon, with back-to-back shots from Tyler Bolen and James Britton, but Langdon held them off. It was Kodiaks Taylor Laviolette that ultimately put the Kodiaks on the scoreboard, sneaking a shot in the corner off a pass from Ben Knight to tie up the game 1 - 1 in the 18th minute.

Langdon was solid in net, turning aside several shots until Wilson Ntignee setup James Britton, putting the Kodiaks up 2 - 1 in the 62nd minute. Then in the 89th minute, a penalty kick from Ntignee found the net to seal a 3 - 1 Kodiaks victory.

Matt Elphick was the Kings Player-of-the-Game, scoring a goal and playing three positions throughout the game.

The third place RDC Kings (6 - 3 - 2) will play the fourth seed Rattlers (4 - 6 - 1) on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Medicine Hat.
