Vikings lose in overtime

The Trojans opened scoring in the first period, 9 minutes into the game by Eric Krienke. The Vikings were held scoreless in this period as the Trojans defence looked to be too much for the Vikings to handle.

The second period saw the Trojans build on their lead with two quick goals back to back. The first one was scored by Colton McCarthy, assisted by number 26 and 16, while the second one was scored by Eric Krienke. However, the Vikings did not back down as their very own Lukas Biensch managed to sneak one past the goalkeeper before the period could end to keep the scoreline at 3-1

The third period looked to be in the Trojan's favour as they had a two goal lead but the Vikings were not going down without a fight as they scored two goals both by number 22, Travis Mayan to bring the Vikings back into this game with time to spare. The scoreline 3was reset at 3-3 but no team was able to score in the final minutes of the third period, thus forcing the game into overtime.

The over time was an intense period of hockey as each team tried to put away a goal to win the game and it seemed that this one might go into another period. However in the final minute of the game Eric Krienke from the Trojans put one in past the keeper to give his team the victory in the 3rd game of this quarter finals series.
