Trojans salvage weekend split with Clippers

CALGARY, ALTA., (Nov. 3, 2018) — The SAIT Trojans men's hockey team salvaged the weekend.

Less than 24 hours after a disappointing loss to the Briercrest College Clippers, the Trojans fired puck after puck on net in a 6-2 win over the same team Saturday afternoon in their Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) game played at SAIT Arena.

"Last night was unacceptable, and everybody knows that," said Trojans forward Eric Krienke (2nd year, Calgary, Bachelor of Business Administration) about their 3-1 loss on Friday. "It was a good challenge for us to step up and see how we were going to bounce back. That's the best part of back-to-backs – if you mess up the first night, you have the second to try make amends."

SAIT improves to 6-2 on the season. Briercrest falls to 2-6.
