EDMONTON, ALTA. - Thomas Foster had a hat-trick and an assist as he led the NAIT Ooks to a 4-1 victory over the Concordia Thunder on Saturday afternoon at the NAIT Arena.
Thomas Foster opened up the scoring for the Ooks 7:38 into the first period. Foster added another goal 11:09 into the second period to give NAIT a 2-0 lead through 40 minutes. Jesse Roach put the Ooks up by three, three minutes into the third period on the power-play on a setup from Jake Mykitiuk and Thomas Foster. Nick Tupper would get the Thunder on the board, but Foster added his third of the game late in the frame to complete the 4-1 victory. Shots were 37-31 in favour of NAIT.
The Ooks are 5-3 and sit in 4th in the ACAC they will now enter a bye-week before hosting the SAIT Trojans on November 9th. The Thunder are 0-6 and sit 8th in the ACAC they will also have a bye-week before traveling to Caronport, SK. to take on the Briercrest Clippers on November 9th.
