The final match up of the day was between the second place team in the North, Keyano Huskies and the third place team in the south the Medicine Hat Rattlers. The Huskies came out strong in the first with great ball rotation to find their open shooter; they knock down an impressive 6 three pointer in that quarter alone. However the Rattler would battle ever step to keep the game close; the score at the end of the first quarter was 28-23 for the Huskies. The second quarter the Huskies would keep their lead only for a short time as the Rattlers were able to chip away at the Huskies lead. Help from #22 DeAngelo Ashley crashing hard offensively on the glass the Rattlers were awarded many second chance points. The Rattler last would take back the lead from the Huskies going into half time with a score of 48-50 for the Rattlers. The second half would be a long one as 30 fouls were handed out between the two team in that half. The Huskies would find themselves in could trouble half way through the third which allowed the Rattler to build a small lead. The score at the end of the third was 67-71 for the Rattlers. The high intensity continues into the fourth quarter and teams put a lot of pressure on the ball. It would be a game that ended on the foul line. The Huskies struggle and 3 player end up fouling out of the game, the Rattlers capitalize on this as they are sent to the line many time this quarter. Rattlers were able to knock down the last eight of their free throws stretching their lead. The Huskies fought back hard but were unsuccessful in taking back the lead. The Rattlers win, the final score was 85-92. It was an exciting game till the very end. The players of the game for the Huskies #5 D'Aubre Doucette and for the Rattlers #11 Keith Burgees. The Rattlers move on tomorrow's semi-finals.
