In the last home game of the season for TKU Eagles, they took on the top ranked CUE Thunder. The Eagles looked to end their season strong against a formidable opponent.
In the first quarter, the Thunder busted out an early lead against the Eagles, pushing the tempo and putting pressure on the Eagles. The Eagles were able to get through but not as often as they would have liked, as the Thunder led 20-10.
In the second quarter, the Thunder continued their consistent play as they scored bucket after bucket. The Eagles were able to up their offensive game, but still were behind 40-27.
In the third, the Eagles looked to have been rejuvinated from the half as they came out strong, scoring bucket after bucket. But the Thunder's strong play seemed to be a little to much as they took a 66-54 lead into the final quarter.
In the fourth, the defensive and offensive game of the Thunder were just to much for the Eagles to over come as TKU fell to the CUE Thunder, 88-60.
Both these teams will see other for the last game of the season, tomorrow, Feb.23 at 8pm at Concordia.
