Lions Outscored by Trojans

The Ambrose Men's Basketball team played a hard fought game against the SAIT Trojans but it wasn't enough to put down SAIT's sharp shooting and good ball movement. The final score was 105 for SAIT and 89 for Ambrose. The Ambrose Lions were down by 20 points in the first half and played some good defense at the beginning of the 3rd quarter which allowed them to create a lot of space offensively to let Marcus Harris, Isaac Gray and Kyle Sweidnicki to hit a bunch of three pointers to put Ambrose within arms length of victory. SAIT's transition offence is one of the best in the league. They capitalized off their good rebounding to get their perimeter shooters a few good open looks which they drained in with ease. Ambrose outscored SAIT in the second half but it wasn't enough for them pull it through. Marcus Harris was awarded player of the game scoring 25 points. He had 6 rebounds and 6 assists as well. Artez Scharer had an off night only scoring one out of twelve field goals. John Smith from the SAIT Trojans led the scoring with 30 points overall. While Murphy Beya had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.  Congratulations to Marcus Harris and John Smith for winning their respective team's Player of the Game!
