Dyck Focused on Faith and Volleyball

01/18/2015....Calgary, Alberta - An honest guesstimate is that 99% of Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference student/athletes participating in basketball will never make it to the National Basketball Association. The same may be true about top volleyball pro leagues.

Simple math, the two sports have more than one billion participants world-wide and only a few spots for a select few at the top echelons.

Student before Athlete in Student/Athlete

01/13/2015...Red Deer, Alberta - There’s a reason why they are called student/athletes in Canada.

Unlike some of the post-secondary institutions south of the border, we have no bogus classes in post-secondary education in Canada.

Fifth-year Red Deer Kings men’s volleyball star Tim Finnigan has come to such realization.

Red Deer Still King and Queen in Volleyball

01/09/2015....Volleyball is King and Queen in the city of Red Deer.

The Red Deer Kings/Queens and NAIT Ooks made it into a possible three out of four rankings earlier this week as the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association released its national rankings for men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball.

Second Zacharias joins Briercrest women’s volleyball team

12/19/14... Caronport, SK - Briercrest women’s volleyball is excited to announce the first signing of the incoming 2015-16 class. Ashley Zacharias is another standout Waldheim product that has joined the Briercrest volleyball program, following in the footsteps of older sister, and current CCAA kill leader, Samantha.
