Sherri had an incredible season opening weekend for the NAIT Ooks Women’s Hockey team. Bowles followed up Friday’s 2 point performance in the team’s 5-4 OT loss at SAIT by scoring a hat trick and adding an assist Saturday in the Ooks 7-0 victory over the Trojans at home. Sherri’s 6  points has her atop of league scoring after the opening weekend. “Bowles appears to be back,” said head coach Deanna Iwanicka. “After playing through some major injuries it appears the spark we saw in her rookie season is back. Bowles has great offensive ability and her potential to be an on ice leader for the team this season is a key to our success.” Sherri is a third year Business student from Elkhorn, Manitoba.

Second year Kodiak Nic Dubinsky lead his team to a clean sweep this weekend over the Concordia Thunder. Dubinsky recorded 23 kills, 6 service aces, 12 digs and 3 blocks in 6 straight sets. Equally as impressive, was the fact that Nic only missed 2 serves on the weekend, and only had 3 attacking errors in all 6 sets combined.

Nic, from Calgary, Alberta, is in the Business Administration program and his third year of eligibility with the ACAC. Congratulations Nic on a great weekend.
