In the opening weekend of the second semester, Karina Leslie averaged a double double with an average of 15.50 points per game and 11 rebounds per game as her Eagles took on the Cougars and Kodiaks.   On Friday night, the Eagles defeated the nationally ranked Mount Royal Cougars 68-60.  Karina was a dominant force throughout the game as she had 15 points and 14 rebounds.  On Saturday night, she continued her strong play by leading the Eagles once again in scoring and rebounding with 16 points and 8 rebounds.   Karina is currently among league leaders in scoring and field goal percentages. 

Karina is a fourth year forward who is graduating this semester from the Biology program at The Kings University College.

Tyler Murray was in on all 5 goals versus the SAIT Trojans on Friday night. Tyler also scored the 5th goal into an empty net with a turn over in the neutral zone to cement the victory. He was credited with 4 goals and 1 assist in the first ever win for Briercrest at SAIT in league play. Briercrest went 3 for 5 on the power play and Tyler scored 2 of the goals on the PP.  Tyler leads the team with 25 points, 12 goals and 13 assists. 

Tyler is a third year forward from Regina, Saskatchewan taking business at Briercrest Colleges.  Previously, he played for the University of Regina Cougars for two years.
