Athletes of the Week

January 2 - 8, 2012

Brooke Peterson
Briercrest College
Women's Volleyball

Brooke had an outstanding weekend on both defense and serve receive and was a key reason for the Briercrest Clipper’s two wins on the road against the Lethbridge Kodiaks. She is a second-year libero and leads the league with 204 digs. She added to that total with 29 more this weekend in just seven sets of action. Not only did she help shut down the Lethbridge attack, but was the key reason for our success on offense as she had a passing average of 2.45 with 70% three passes. Brooke earned player of the game honors on Friday night for her outstanding play and then performed even better during Saturday’s match!

Brooke is an extremely dedicated athlete and puts in extra time every week to improve her great God-given abilities, and it is great to see her hard work paying off! Brooke is in her second year of a BA in Business Administration at Briercrest and hails from Weyburn, Saskatchewan.

Congratulations on being named Athlete of the Week, Brooke!
