2012-13 ACAC Cross Country Coach of the Year

10/30/2012...Edmonton, Alberta - The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference is pleased to announce Jamie Grant of SAIT as the 2012-13 ACAC Cross Country Running Coach of the Year.

SAIT Polytechnic coach Jamie Grant has been named the Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. Jamie guided the men’s team to the first championship in 14 years and the women’s team to back-to-back bronze medals this past weekend.
 
“Jamie and his staff have worked extremely hard to develop and grow the cross country program at SAIT and this accolade is an acknowledgement of their commitment to the program and the student-athletes.” Mark Pretzlaff, Athletics Manager said of the recognition.
 
“Jamie has developed a group of student-athletes who strive for high performance results and achieve the three Trojan Pillars: Athletic Excellence, Academic Success, and Community Citizenship, that we have established as an institution.
 
At the ACAC championships were hosted by the University of Alberta, Augustana on October 27th. The team is currently preparing for the national championships taking place on November 10th Champlain College Saint-Lambert in St-Lambert, Quebec.
