2011-12 ACAC Volleyball Rookies of the Year
20/04/12...Edmonton...The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the ACAC Men's and Women's Volleyball Rookies of the Year
Vitor Macedo, Lethbridge Kodiaks Men’s Volleyball – Coming to the Kodiaks squad from Brazil, Vitor excelled on many levels. Even though English is not the first of four languages Vitor speaks, he was able to earn a 3.6 GPA on his path to a Physical Education Degree. Vitor’s teammates fed off his positive energy and game intelligence. He was widely regarded as the best setter in the ACAC and earned a spot on the First Team All-Conference list. Outside of his commitment to the Kodiaks, Vitor spreads his knowledge and passion of the game to the Lethbridge Club Volleyball program. He is a coach for the U18 LVC team, and has immensely contributed to their success. The requests for Vitor’s presence throughout the club system are endless, as he has made an everlasting impression on Southern Alberta Volleyball. Arguably one of the best players to have ever worn a Kodiaks Volleyball Jersey, Vitor was also awarded an CCAA Academic All Canadian Award.
