Ooks say Goodbye to Pokemon and Braveheart

03/25/2013...Edmonton, Alberta - The last time the NAIT Ooks won an Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference men’s hockey championship the Pokémon universe was just a few weeks old and the movie Braveheart would receive nod for Best Picture at the Academy Awards.

The year was 1996 and the date March 29 as the Ooks had just defeated the Mount Royals Cougars 5-3 to win the best-of-five ACAC championship three-games-to-two.
