Stefan Labrecque is returning to the Red Deer College Kings bench, this time in a leading role.

Labrecque was officially named Monday as interim head coach of the basketball Kings. He will replace Craig Behan, who has taken a one-year leave to serve as a men’s basketball assistant coach at the University of Victoria for the 2010-11 CIS season.

Keith Hansen couldn’t have asked to be treated any better during his time in Dueren, Germany.The RDC Athletic Director spent the last year in the European city, working on a sports psychology degree and with the men’s volleyball team that competes in the German National League.

Medicine Hat, Alberta (July 6, 2010)   The Medicine Hat College Rattlers are pleased to announce the hiring of Ben Julius as the interim Head Coach of the Men’s Basketball team. Ben takes over for Tim Martens, who is off on a one year personal leave of absence.

The Griffin’s Women’s Hockey Program is pleased to announce Lindsay McAlpine as Head Coach. McAlpine is the complete package; a highly respected athlete, and an educator with extensive academic background.  With an impressive hockey career, McAlpine completed her five years of eligibility with the University of Alberta Pandas, winning a Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) National Championship all five years.  In her final year she was named CIS Player of the Year, First team All-Canadian, and Canada West Player of the Year.
